From an early age the artist was fascinated with the social interactions & anthropology aspects of photography as well as the mechanics of building cameras and controlling light. His focus is to use the camera and the art of story-telling to leave the world a better place than he found it.
After studying at Brooks Institute of photography, George Evan was mentored by David LaChapelle and went on to work for many renowned artists including Annie Leibovitz, Walter Iooss, Yu Tsai, Mark Seliger, John Russo, Kevin Lynch, Ruven Afanador, Vanina Sorrenti, and Jill Greenberg.
George Evan has taught workshops for Adobe, Lomography, and has been sponsored by Capture One and partnered with Leica Cameras for a portrait studio. He is based in LA and NY, with clients ranging from international fashion + beauty brands, sports teams, and publications to tech start-ups and non-profits. He excels at shooting large production campaigns and well as intimate artistic portraits. His aim is to create iconic and memorable imagery and his technical knowledge, experience, and team building skills allow him to always deliver the highest quality results.
